The Urine for Albumin Test detects the presence of albumin (a major plasma protein) in urine. Normally, the kidneys prevent albumin from passing into urine, so only very small amounts are present. The test is included in urine routine. This test help in early detection of diabetic kidney disease, monitoring CKD progression, differentiates glomerular vs tubular proteinuria.
